What I'm reading:
12.11.10

I have finished reading my second semester book. I thought I loved Breaking Dawn, but I think I've found another book that I love as well. This is the book that has made me cry throughout almost every chapter. It was AMAZING! This was the first time I've read a book that is made out of poems. Instead of a chapter it's a poem. If you were to read a random poem from the book, it would make sense. For Dale's class we had to define what we thought the meaning of a poem was, and Kevin Euceda said "It's a collection of stories." And this book is a collection of poems that tell a story! I feel so bad for the main character in the book! This book is so heart breaking! As I was reading this book, it remind me of a book that both Grace and Brianna read last year called Go ask Alice by Anonymous, it is also about a girl that got addicted, and went through almost the same struggles as my main character.

Last Friday morning, as I was getting off the bus, I noticed that Karely Osorio was reading one of the sagas from Crank. It amazed me how other people other than I have read the book Crank.

What I've read:
12.03.10

I went to my cousin's house and she told me of a interesting book she's read. The book she told me is called Crank by Ellen Hopkins. My cousin told me that it was about a girl in High school, who got addicted by crystal meth. The author Ellen Hopkins, wites this novel from her daughters perspective. Her daughter was the High school girl who got addicted to crack. The cover caught my attention. When you glance at it, you will notice that its crystal meth what was used to spell the words crank. And you notice crank, is almost the same as crack. Just a connection I saw that I found interesting.

I've read the first two pages and I think it's amazing! This is the link to a video that my cousin showed me when she told me about Crank. Crank the video.
